China is one of the global leaders in the techonogicol evolution, application, and innovation of 5G, said John Hoffman, said John Hoffman, CEO of GSMA Ltd., an international mobile operator association, in a recent interview with Guangming Online.
Hoffman noted that China has extensively popularized 5G services and adoptions in recent years, and is continuously driving the innovative applications and development of the technology.
The 5G technology has brought increased attention to the digital transformation in vertical sectors, he said. “Everything, from a hard physical currency to an electronic currency and its global pervasion, from the digital transformation in the areas of fintech, pharmacy, healthcare, education, transportation and manufacturing, is going to be dramatically impacted by 5G and private 5G networks."
